Alexander McCall Smith, author of The No.1 Ladies’ Detective Agency and the Scotland Street novels will soon be on his way back to Maleny for an Outspoken conversation.

OUTSPOKEN IS AN EXTENDED LITERARY FESTIVAL TAKING THE FORM OF OCCASIONAL CONVERSATIONS WITH WRITERS

Outspoken is directed by Steven and Tyyni Lang. We are based in Maleny in south-east Queensland. This is our seventh year of operation. During that time we’ve held conversations with some fifty authors, including Richard Flanagan, A C Grayling, Malachy Tallack, Richard Fidler, Tim Winton, Alexander McCall-Smith, Magda Szubanksi, Tim Flannery,  Ruth Ozeki, Thomas Keneally, Ann Patchett, Richard Ford, Patrick Gale, Chad Harbach, Christos Tsiolkas, Ramona Koval, Kate Grenville, Cate Kennedy, Karen Joy Fowler, Graeme Simsion, Henry Reynolds and the former Treasurer and Deputy Prime Minister Wayne Swan.
