A Story for July: Elvis at Prestwick Airport

July 2022

Something slightly different this month, a performance of a song written by Alexander to celebrate the Great Tapestry of Scotland.

This song was produced as part of a collection of music exploring some of the topics included in panels in the Great Tapestry of Scotland. It was composed by Tom Cunningham, directed by David Lyle, and sung by Daniel Barrett, with violin accompaniment from Alison Galbraith. Filmed by Ryan Rutherford.

The Great Tapestry of Scotland is a huge embroidered artwork telling the entire history of Scotland. It sits in splendour in a purpose-built visitor centre in Galashiels, Scottish Borders. You can find out more about it and plan your visit here: https://www.greattapestryofscotland.com/
