Alexander was overwhelmed by the warmth of the reception he received at an event hosted by Brand Botswana and the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry in Botswana, in London, one year ago today. The event was introduced by Bogolo Kenewendo, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Botswana who commented on Alexander’s work and that of The No.1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series in profiling Botswana. She commented too on the creation of a strong black female character from Botswana, and added that ‘the story of Precious is both a delight as well a very authentic reflection of Botswana’.  The presentation from Bogolo Kenewendo was followed by a delightful conversation between Alexander and Bame Moremong, Executive Director of Brand Botswana as they discussed the books and the impact of Alexander’s writing on tourism and investment in Botswana.

Alexander looks forward to another visit to his beloved Botswana when Covid restrictions come to an end.
